Tear Drop Travels

One of my college girlfriends and her husband came up to visit this weekend. They were coming up to Raleigh from Charleston, SC to attend an Alison Krauss and Willie Nelson concert at the nearby Koka Booth Ampitheatre (amazing venue!). They were great house guests and slept comfortably in their own traveling guest room! They have the coolest little tear drop camper and we’ve decided that WHEN we get one (not IF, but WHEN) then we will make a trip down their way and spend some time on the beach in Charleston, SC (Folly Beach, perhaps?). The first time I ever saw one was on their Christmas card and instantly I was in love – see for yourself: picture perfect with the Christmas tree on top and both pups posing perfectly!

This little package with pop up kitchen in the back, a roomy queen size bed inside, all pulled behind a sedan of your choosing (they recently met a woman who pulls hers with a VW bug). It’s the Ikea of campers; everything planned so well, from where the shelves pop out, how the coasters are placed, the clothes line for laundry, the cooler storage, pop out tables…I am definitely a fan. The kids thought it was like their own private fort. One day we’ll be touring the country with one of these sweet little things.
