There are some new things happening at The Flyin’ Dandelion! With the help of Whoopi Goldberg and my dear mom, I recently came across a new supplier of onesies that manufactures here in the states. I’m super excited about getting some samples in and trying them out – their facility is just a few hours away in South Carolina so I might make a trip one day to scope it out!
We’ve also gotten to play around with some silver glitter inks (which my daughters LOVE, of course) and this week I’m scheduling some work with my oldest daughter in the studio – she’s been working hard on “designs” for a few weeks now. This business is keeping me busy and happy; it’s a welcomed distraction when I need it and a fun project to work on with my mom and dad (and “Carl” if you’re keeping track).
Since September is Leukemia & Lymphoma Awareness month, I have decided to donate $3 from each of my onesie sales this month to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in honor of my dad, Dan D. Some people are wearing a lot of orange this month to show their support and awareness, but we took instructions from a current fighter and decided to wear orange smiles. The kids thought it was pretty fun and I hope to see more orange smiles out there through the month of September!
For all of my local followers & fans – you are invited to an AMAZING family-friendly fundraiser to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. It’s at Draft Line Brewery in Fuquay Varina with a band lined up along with face painter, balloon artist, firetruck visit, corn hole competitions and many fabulous prizes to be won by raffle and silent auction. There’s local craft beer for the parents and hopefully a bounce house to guarantee an easy bedtime for the night! We hope to see you there in support of this fantastic organization!
